Hazel Thompson Freelance Photojournalist


Hazel Thompson is a British multi award winning photographer based in London. After beginning her photographic career in 1997 with a local newspaper in South London, Hazel now works freelance on assignments worldwide for leading international publications such as the New York Times, the Observer Magazine, Le Monde 2, Politiken, and many others. She is Director and Chief Photographer for True Image Media Ltd in London, and a founding member of Scarlet, a creative change media agency based in Los Angeles. Hazel is also a speaker and workshop facilitator for international conferences and festivals. Her commercial clients include: Sony BMG, Epic, Hard Rock Cafe, The Body Shop, HSBC & The British Council.

Hazel loves working closely with artists in creating images that truely represent them. Artists she has photographed includes Natasha Bedingfield, Jonas Myrin, Daniel Bedingfield, Emmanual Jal, Razorlight, Supergrass & Noel Robinson.

Artists usually have a good idea of how they wish to be presented but often go to various organistions to have their head shots and portfolios taken only to come away with a glossy misrepresenation of who they are.

True Image (Hazel's company) work in conjuntion with Much Fruit Production to provide consultation that will give professional guidance and capture the heart of the artist. We offer location and artist/band studio photography services. We can shoot in our portrait studio or on location, such as in a club live or a recording studio. We offer a 1/2 day shoot package, which includes post production & you will receive a Disc & Contact sheet with all the high res images. True Image will retain a master copy of all the images for your convenience to order prints.
