Raie previously taught singing and songwriting to such charting artist as Miss Dynamite and The Streets own Kevin Mark Trail but feels she is now ready to tell her story.
Songs like Earthbound; a tale of India - the resourcefulness of a people who are more driven by the heart and soul than worldly goods – how this inspired and changed Raie’s outlook on life.
Raie discovered she could sing at the age of 8, winning talent shows. One of four children, it was difficult to pursue her dream of becoming a performer in Glasgow, so she moved to London in her late teens. Raie trained at drama school where she formed a quintet; ‘I Reverie’ backed Orchestre Jazira playing London’s Astoria and Tyne Tees Jazz Festival and also sang in Europe. By now Raie was hooked on the harmony thing and continued to back other vocalists before realizing that she could write.
Re-working and developing material for eight years, Raie is a dynamic band with an ensemble of talented musicians.
