Sugarstone started unofficially in 2006 when we played for Lyanna Austin's final performances at Goldsmith uni (This was the start of the band although we didn't know it!!). We continued to session for Lyanna over the next 18 months and then entered testing 123 in 2008, she came 2nd and was invited to perform at the Croydon Summer Festival.

The group encompasses a variety of styles from silky smooth vocals of Jaz Ellington to rock chic Kirsten Marie, the smooth R & B vibes of Chenoa, latin grooves of Lynieve and the versatile Lyanna Austin, all backed by the versatile and energentic Sugarstone band.
New additions to the group recently are Jenny and Aleysha who are Jaz Ellingtons Bv's but are lead singers in their own right!

Lead by Md Harvey Reid on Main keys, Alex ' keys' Montague on 2nd keys, William on drums, Michael Oz, drums, Mike K on Guitar, Andrew Smithson on guitar, a selection of bassits James funky Beatt, Michelle osbourne, Alex 'frets' Pusey and Shegz on guitar with the soulful Charly Richardon on sax. This is Sugarstone, whether it be Rock, Jazz, RnB or Gospel theses guys and gals are the real thing!.

Somethings in life are destined to happen and Sugarstone is just that; MD Harvey was asked to play for Jaz as a one off, but 12 months later ....well the rest is history. Kirsten has known the group for over 2 years and has always been using the guys for her gigs, Chenoa was doing Bv's for Kirsten and asked the band to play for a one off gig, and now its either a backing track or full live band .... Sugarstone!

These guys are more than musicians or a collection of singers its a family thing as they all need each and depend on each others skills to bring out the best in each other.
Sugarstone is still in its infancy and are still growing musically and spiritually. 2009 is going to be a special year as new material and performances are being scheduled.

Friendship have been born, songs have been created food has been eaten and jokes for days, there has been smiles, tears, a few tantrums but all in all Sugarstone in more than music its a Family, and with every family theres love, drama, smiles, joy and laughter but in the centre of all of that is Love.
